- Areas of Fairway Marked by Blue Posts
When a Ball lies within a part of a fairway identified by Four Blue posts marking the corners of the area, the player must:
- Mark, lift, clean and place on a carry mat (within 6", no nearer to the hole).
- Dropping to the side is no longer be permitted.
- The ball is in play once placed on the mat. If the ball will not remain at rest on the mat, it must be placed again. If it still will not remain at rest, the mat may be moved to the nearest spot (no nearer the hole) where the ball will stay at rest.
